I am a 25-year-old student from Berlin (Germany). I study Information-Systems in my Masters and I develop Apps (surprise!). Even I totally agree that smartphone usage is becoming a huge problem. So, here we are in 2018. The society is getting “sick”, there is no place where people are not using their phones constantly. Are they to blame? That’s a whole different story for another day. But here is the thing: we can do something about it! We can change our individual habits. I can promise you it will be hard… but at least there is even an App for that! (This may sound like a contradiction but hear me out!)

Yes, you read it right… A year back I started the development of an App to reduce smartphone usage. Yes. An App that you use to not use your phone. In short: it’s a gamified productivity timer. It rewards you with digital goods for the time you don’t spend on your phone.
